One of the first things to consider when purchasing a gas furnace is its efficiency. This is inicated by the Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency rating or AFUE. Trane offers a variety of highly efficient gas furnaces, ranging from 80 to 92% efficiency. We also offer variable speed and two-stage furnaces, which can greatly increase your comfort level. If you have an air conditioner outside, then you probably have an indoor coil and furnace inside. And, while an indoor coil may be a product you're not very familiar with, it's just as important to your home's comfort as your air conditioner. Trane manufactures an entire series of indoor coils in a variety of sizes, efficiencies and configurations that will work with any installation or application requirement. A packaged unit contains the same components you find in a typical heating and air conditioning system, however, they’re all engineered to work together in one cabinet. Our brief feature descriptions will help you find the packaged unit that best fits your comfort needs. A packaged gas electric unit offers you electric cooling and gas heating. In warm weather it's an all-electric high efficiency air conditioner. In cold weather, it's a standard natural gas or propane gas furnace, giving you the best of both energy worlds. Trane's XL 1600 high efficiency gas electric packaged unit also comes equipped with two stage heating and cooling for more efficient energy use. With heating, cooling and air handling functions in one unit, a packaged heat pump can take care of all your home comfort needs. Trane's XL 1600 high efficiency packaged heat pump comes equipped with two stage heating and cooling for maximum comfort and efficiency. In parts of the country with extended summers and mild winters, a packaged air conditioner is the perfect solution. Higher efficiency units are also available with the Comfort-R™ airflow system, offering better moisture control during cooling start up. Ductless air conditioners (commonly referred to as mini-splits) follow the same principles as traditional air conditioners, with the benefit of no ductwork being required. Therefore, installations are quick and easy. The system consists of a condensing unit (XB1000, XB10, or XB12) matched with an evaporator (MCW). This system not only provides air conditioning, but also offers features such as dry (or dehumidification) mode, as well as a fan-only mode to circulate room air. As mentioned above, the Trane systems feature the capability to matched with XB 12 condensing units for improved efficiency (up to 13.5 SEER) and lower operating costs.
